Smile!! Your clients can hear it!

Answering the phone. If you’re anything like me you probably hate it! Often you’re not sure who is on the other end and more often than not, the shrill “ring ring” is interrupting you doing something really important.

While the option is always there to not answer, if you make the choice to take the call, there is one really important thing you can do before you pick up.

SMILE

Yes, smile.

A smile forces you to take a breath. A smile forces your attention away from whatever it is you are doing. And a smile will show up in your voice when you answer the call.

The person on the other end will hear a friendly, approachable voice and respond accordingly meaning the phone call gets off to a good start, and will more than likely continue on in the same vein!
